Well lookee here...can't believe this thing still runs. Heh. Hell, tie me up and call me dinner. I can't believe I'd ever make it back. Was starting to think this place never really existed and I went and lost my mind.

Heh. Well, you know what this means, kiddies. Looks like Shinigami himself is back in the Nexus. Man. I missed this place. Time to hunt down some bruddas of mine and see what I've missed.

Oh yeah...according to this calendar, Happy New Year. Whoohoo! Shinigami is back from hell!

There it is. On my world, classified stuff. Here? Hell...might as well throw my cards down on the table. The party was great, Cielo's back and fine. I never got to take you out for that date yet, Aya-chan. I love you.

But...now it's my turn to do some good, ne? I'm leaving in the morning. Cielo? I might take you up on that offer for a place to stay when I get back.

Aya-chan? I won't ask you to wait. You've been...god..you've been wonderful and patient and I will ALWAYS love you. Only you. But...I don't know how long this is going to take. I can't sit back and let my home get destroyed after all they've worked for. And these guys...they're my buddies from home. My bruddas, as Cielo would say. I'm not asking you to move on, but neither am I saying to wait. Do what YOU think is right, and if you're still around if when I get back...I'll come find you.

Mike, Isamu, Sera, and all my other buddies? Take care while I'm gone. I'll be back. I'm pretty good at these hopeless situations, ya know?

((Right, so! Yes, Duo is planning an awesome party of awesomeness to celebrate Cielo's return to the Nexus and to try and distract him from whatever's bothering his friend.

I'm planning on putting it here, and the Embryon's especially invited invited, but anybody who's a friend of Cielo or just happens to be around Earth 616's Central Park is welcome to drop by.

All I need from you people is a date. Especially Misao I hope to hear from. :D I could set it up as early as tonight, but do not mind at all waiting for those that have more of a life than I do (READ: those that have a life at all).

I got a job in this New York Place working at Starbucks while I try to hunt down Cielo.

Aya, Earth 616, Central Park. That's where I am.

Please...

Next time you get a chance. I want to talk to you. I'm living in Central Park. Don't freak out, okay? I want to see you, talk to you about...a lot of things.

"Alright...guess this is as good of a place as any..." Duo reaches up and presses a button on the controll panel, then pulls back on all both controls in his hands. Deathscythe goes to standby and falls from the sky. The moonless night is as dark as the water below. Duo's not even sure where the water is for a moment until he crashes into the ocean with a gargantuan splash.

The shock throws his head into the side of the chair; he curses and shakes it to clear his vision. How Heero could ever do this all the time was beyond him. Crazy bastard. He punches a few more buttons, programming it for when he's left. He gets the cockpit to break free from the water and opens it. One and a half minutes to haul ass away from the thing before the cockpit door shuts and the thing shut down. The wind and mist bite into his skin, he dives into the water and swims off...


"Damn..my bag's still soggy." He mutters, giving the thing a good shake. People roam around the park freely, enjoying themselves or just getting from one place to another. It had been almost two days since Duo'd dropped Deathscythe into the ocean, and City Park in New York City of Earth 616 had become his home. Of course, none of the names were familiar to him aside from New York. Duo just knew that this was where Cielo lived..er...somewhere. Somewhere that was not a Port-a-Potty.

His bed of a park bench had done well enough, but Duo really wanted to find a real place to stay soon. Great hobo or not, it was a nice thought. Besides, these pigeons were asking for it. Stupid coo'ing all over the place.

There was no sky to stare at, to regard absently in the cold mechanical confines of the colonies. Duo sat up from the shoulder of his beloved Deathscythe, his gaze trained on that metallic ceiling above him.

War had kept him here, kept him at home. Home where even his own people were against him, as well as everyone else. But the war was over. His friends had gone their seperate ways (Duo refused to believe his best buddy was dead, either. He would show up sooner or later, probably complaining about how Duo was too loud, he was sure of it).

Duo was again alone...What did he do now? There was nothing for him here, not anymore. He'd done his job; done it well too.

A hint of a smirk gleans across his face, and Duo jumps up, patting his buddy on it's large gundanium shoulder.

"Pack up, buddy! We're moving out!" With a laugh and a renewed vigor, Duo bounds off, gathering his things and shoving them in the gundam. He wouldn't leave that behind, after all. "It's about time I go to stay somewhere where I wanna be, instead of where I've gotta be." The gundam comes to life on the cold, lifeless colony. Pilot and machine disappear off into what has to be one of the largest portal in existence....

The God of Death has left from hell.

((Well, mun's decided to bring Duo out a bit more, so this postish thing is my way of saying that he'll be in the Nexus to stay if anyone needs to find him. I'll look at getting him a place to stay sometime soon, promise! :D ))

Duo sighs, taking a look around the shuttle with a long sigh. It was quiet in space, and in their makeshift home, there was no noise either. Everyone was sleeping, or at least they were all in their rooms doing nothing. Duo didn't hear anything, so eh.

He gets up, looking out one of the viewing sorts of the ship. He couldn't sleep. This had been happening a lot lately. Images of battles...not getting to come see Cielo again...or Her.

"Gah!" Duo slams his head against the wall in frustration. "It's not like me to get upset, damn it!" He rubs at his head in frustration, glaring out the window. It was because of this battle that he was stuck here. Granted, he had grown close to his friends...but he didn't want to be away from his newest best friend and his girlfriend forever.

"Forever..Heh. I"m being over dramatic." Duo mumbled, smiling slightly as he sat down. "I've only been back for a couple days..." With a much calmer sigh, Duo leans his head back and watches the ceiling. He would go back after this next mission. Look for Cielo...maybe bring Aya some flowers, if he could get any.

"Just you wait, Nexus. The God of Death WILL be back, hehehehe."
